Dumpling Soup 🥟
.
The temperatures have been freezing here in New York, so I have been craving something warm & comforting. This dumpling soup definitely hit the spot! The soup is incredibly tasty, but my favorite part has to be how easy it is to make! Follow the simple steps below to make it!
.
Start by sautéing 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and 2 tablespoons of minced ginger and 2 tablespoons of sesame oil. sauté for about three minutes.
.
Then add in 4 cups of vegetable broth & 3 tablespoons of tamari sauce (you can sub soy sauce), 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce & a dash of red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
.
Next, add in your dumplings/gyozas. You can use homemade dumplings, but to make it easier I just used traderjoes frozen shrimp gyozas. I added in the entire bag. They are honestly just as good as homemade dumplings and require minimal effort.
.
Once the dumplings are in the pot, bring back up to a boil. And cook for about 5-7 minutes. The dumplings should be tender but not soft enough to fall apart.
.
Remove from heat, sprinkle another dash of red pepper flakes & serve!
.
